The fine print, plain and simple
Privacy Policy
Norma Jean Towing Inc · Fredericksburg, Virginia · Effective July 20, 2026
✦ Who We Are
This policy is published by Norma Jean Towing Inc of Fredericksburg, Virginia, phone (540) 710-9270. It covers our website, our phone lines (including our overnight dispatch line), and our dispatch text message program.
✦ What We Collect When You Call
When you call us for a tow or roadside help, we collect the information needed to do the job:
- Your phone number (from caller ID) and a callback number you confirm with us
- Your name, if you give it
- The pickup location, the vehicle's year, make, and model, its condition, and where it is going
- Anything else you tell us that the driver needs to know
Our overnight line is answered by an automated dispatch assistant. Outside office hours, a computerized dispatcher may answer, take down your job details, and send a driver, the same way a person on our desk would.
Calls to our dispatch lines are recorded and transcribed. We use the recordings to make sure jobs were taken down accurately, to keep honest service records, and to improve how we handle calls. By staying on the line, you consent to the recording.
✦ What We Collect on the Website
If you use our contact or scheduling forms, we collect what you type in: typically your name, phone number, email, and what you need. The website does not use advertising trackers.
✦ Text Messaging (SMS)
We run a dispatch text message program that sends job and scheduling notifications to our own drivers and staff who have signed a written consent form. Message frequency varies with call volume. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or reply HELP or call (540) 710-9270 for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent (such as names and phone numbers collected for the program) will not be shared with, or sold to, any third party.
✦ How We Use Your Information
- To dispatch a driver to you and complete your tow or service call
- To coordinate with our drivers and, on police-directed tows, with law enforcement dispatch
- To keep service, billing, and accountability records of the work we do
- To review calls for accuracy, training, and service quality
✦ Who We Share It With
We share information only as needed to run the business:
- Our drivers and staff, so they can do the job you called about
- Service providers that operate our phone, text, and dispatch record systems on our behalf, under obligations to protect your information and use it only for our services
- Law enforcement or legal process, when a tow is police-directed or when the law requires it
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Period.
✦ How Long We Keep It
We keep call records, recordings, and job records as long as we need them for business, accounting, insurance, and legal purposes, then dispose of them.
✦ Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information in our systems, including access controls on our dispatch records. No system is perfect, but we treat your information the way we would want ours treated.
✦ Your Choices
You can ask us what we have on file about you, ask us to correct it, or ask questions about this policy any time: call (540) 710-9270.
✦ Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
